NEST work place pension: NEST is the workplace pension scheme set up by the government; Fair Deal has over 90 employees contributing each month. From April 2019 the contributions will increase to 3% employer and 5% employee (currently the contributions are 2% employer and 3% employee). The increase will be applied automatically to members of the scheme in your April salary. If you have any questions please contact Jill Grace on jillgrace@fair-deal.org
30th Anniversary celebrations: The first Fair Deal event will be held on the 28th of March at the Glencairn Club. Tickets are free and are going fast – if someone you are working with doesn’t have a ticket and would like to come along please contact members of the Business Support Team on 0141 634 4996 or e-mail info@fair-deal.org. I am planning on popping in to some of our social and leisure activities to tell people about the plans for the celebrations and hear about anything else people would like to see happening. SVQ Level 3: We are currently supporting 20 Fair Deal employees through their SVQ level 3 and are about to invite a further 20 people to start their journey through the award. I would like to ask the current group to contact their line manager to discuss their progress and to let them know if there are any blockages to them completing the award. It is important that we provide the support that you require to complete within the agreed timescale. Please call your line manager on 0141 634 4996 if you don’t have their e-mail address.
ISO 9001-2015: ISO 9001- 2015 is a standard that sets out the requirements for a quality management system. It helps businesses and organisations to be more efficient and improve customer satisfaction. We were successfully accredited in April 2018 and we are currently working on the accreditation for 2019. Anne Marie Borthwick, Fair Deal’s Quality and Development Manager, is leading on this and if you would like more information on ISO our approach please e-mail Anne Marie on annmarieborthwick@fair-deal.org. The management review group that monitors performance meets twice a year and the next scheduled meeting will be held on March 19th.
Kenny Macliver Award for excellence: We are working towards launching the Kenny Macliver award for excellence. The Quality Forum group meet on the 19th of March and will be talking about how we will launch the award and confirm the timescales. The award has been linked to our values:
