This is my final blog as Chief Executive of Fair Deal. As we enter a new phase in the life cycle of the organisation the autumn leaves are falling…. The words from a song! and I am not so much going to update you on developments as you can read all about them in the Annual Report. You will find this on our website @ www.fair-deal.org. I do hope you can take the time to read through it and enjoy the content.
This year’s annual report is a celebration of our thirty years peppered with the fantastic development opportunities that are being progressed by Fair Deal’s leadership team.
Our Annual General Meeting [AGM] that was held on Tuesday the 24th was a great success – probably the best yet… so no pressure for next year! We were treated to a musical extravaganza which was enjoyed by everyone. The group who performed put such a lot of time and effort into the fantastic performances.
The AGM also gave us an opportunity to celebrate our staff – we have 12 who achieved their SVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care. One staff member achieved their modern apprenticeship in digital application, 39 staff who had full attendance in 2018/19 the highest yet, 5 staff with 10 years-service, 6 staff with 15 years-service, one person with 20 years-service and Margaret Rigley and Margaret Fenton with a staggering 25 years -service each with Fair Deal. This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the commitment of the staff to the organisation.
At the AGM we also saw the winners of The Kenny Macliver awards for Empowering, Innovative and Encouraging being disclosed .
And the winners are:
Congratulations to Scott, Gail and Margaret. I hope that this gives you encouragement to nominate a colleague or even yourself for a piece of outstanding work. Onwards and upwards and here’s to the 2nd year of awards @ Fair Deal.
I want to say a huge thanks to everyone for your support over the years and for your friendship. As I move on to the next phase of my own life cycle, I wish you, your family and friends wealth, health and happiness. It has been a privilege to be part of such a dynamic organisation and to wish you all every success x
