We held our AGM on Friday 7th September in Langside Church, 167 Ledard Road . It was an occasion where we celebrated the work the staff at Fair Deal continually do on a daily basis. The day also highlighted some of our achievements over the past year.
One of main successes of this term has been in introduction of our “Transport Initiative – Connecting On Board” – whereby James Thomson & Angie McGuire have been working together alongside Sara Fellows to lease a people carrier thus using the transport and driver/ escort more effectively, as well as being more cost efficient and increase independence for the people support by our organisation. They managed to secure this 9 seater People Carrier and implement a tracking device which locates the vehicle wherever it is. So far it’s a great success and we a looking to expand the locations.
We recognised the talent the organisation have, Long Service awards were presented to staff members of 10, 15 and 20 years service. The dedication and committment of these individuals throughout their time has been exceptional. Paul Campbell (20 years), Anne Shankly & Jim Wilson (15 years) & Neil McCue (10 years)
Celebrating Success @ The 2018 Special Olympics was a fantastic achievement for the People We Support:
