Dear Friends / Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce on behalf of the Board of Fair Deal the appointment of Fiona Dunwoodie as our new Chief Executive. Fiona has worked in the third sector for 16 years, managing and leading a variety of social care services for adults with various support needs. She brings a wealth of experience and a passion for ensuring people receive the right support to achieve their potential and live a fulfilled and valued life. Fiona is dedicated to the principles of active citizenship and offers a collaborative approach to all projects. Fiona and will take over from Ann Marie Docherty upon her retirement in September of this year.

Fiona stood out from within a very strong field of applicants. We are convinced that she will further develop our high performing organisation, helping us to meet the ambitions we have for the communities we work within, and the people to whom we provide services. The Board is very much looking forward to welcoming Fiona to Fair Deal, and I am sure we will enjoy a productive and successful working partnership for many years to come.

I also want to pay tribute to our outgoing Chief Executive, Ann Marie Docherty who has been with us since day one, and now passes on an organisation in excellent shape.

Finally, I would like to thank EVH, who supported us throughout the entire recruitment and selection process.
